A few months ago, I was approached by a guitarist friend on youtube asking if I would be interested in being involved in a collaboration of the Rush song called "The Trees" from their Hemispheres album.  It would be a "global" collaboration in which all the players on the track come from all over the world and never actually "meet" each other in person.

Claudio (lead guitarist) from Argentina was originally approached (via youtube) from Amy (classical guitarist) from Canada to ask if she could perform the classical guitar intro to "The Trees" and also the Alex Lifeson classical solo "Broon's Bane" from Rush's 1981 live album "Exit...Stage Left" which would precede it.  Claudio then thought it would be a good idea to get musicians from all over the world to play on it.

And this is the finished article with myself (Willie from Scotland) on bass guitar, Claudio from Argentina on electric and acoustic guitars, Amy from Canada on classical guitar, Vera from Canada on keyboards, Theo from Germany on drums and Tim from USA on vocals.

I hope you enjoy!!!!

Have to say I'm quite impressed. A very good version of one of my favourite Rush tunes and all the better for the inclusion of Broon's Bane.
