Can totally understand Jem's reasoning behind deleting his Twitter accounts, but I do think it's a shame that he got rid of the Frost one. I don't come here a lot so I used Twitter as a way of keeping informed on what he's doing and so on.

Hey ho guess I will ahve to come here and bug you lot more than I did

Totally agree with Jem - one of the reasons I only 'do' twitter and a couple of forum's, and have refused to join facebook - I'd rather spend my time doing stuff.
I will however miss the on twitter banter between Jem, 'Virgil' and Blunders

Me too - they took the nonsense aspect of twitter and pushed it to the max - they totally took it to H3!  When most people (like me) were writing uninteresting twaddle that the world was supposed to find interesting, there were such fab things as "Favourite Jet Wash ?" and the recording tips.  There were some serious laugh-out-loud moments to be had there.

I managed to resist the urge to tweet, for the very same reasons

Oh Jem    Here we go again...

edit: I deleted something that was a tad too harsh.

Possible alternate scenario.........

If Jem writes something that's a load of balls (unlikely) then crosses it out and scribbles something else, then changes his mind, crosses it out and scribbles something else and it is improved......we win  :D

Also, if you (the royal) want tweets and blogs then you hear currently, almost everything Jem thinks, so if he changes his mind on something then you hear it. If you want selective blogging and tweeting then in effect that's what you're getting.

That made sense when I thought it, not quite sure it translates into text quite as I meant it. Sod it, I know what I mean

Shame, one of the most interesting tweeters. But, I guess that means we'll get the news after a few minutes instead of seconds, with the nature of blogging and RSS feed update speed. I can live with that. :)

Oh yes - I have that already saved in the Favs folder! I was merely mentioning that I found (in particular) the Frost* twitter feeds good for keeping up with aforementioned blog posts as I'm not in the habit of visiting it everyday! But I suppose I will have to alter me browsing habits to include his blog on a daily basis!

The PlanetFrost twitter account is up again  :D
It's in the post!

Yup, I took the comments on board. Having a Twitter presence is good for the band. Sorry for the initial carpet bombing, PlanetFrost's back up now. :D

Some of the comments on the blog have been interesting though, I've most recently been called a luddite and a "social cripple" which was nice. I think the irony  of the argument was perhaps lost on my protagonist being as it was conducted through an online blogging site, surely the birthplace of what we now know as social media, but there you go...

My reasoning is simple - in 2012, I'd much rather be making Frost 3 frankly. However, if that sounds antisocial, then I'm gonna hold my hand up and apologise, you got me bang to rights guv'nor.

I can't tell you how focussed I am on it all. I've genuinely been waking up in the middle of the night for quite a while now with my head buzzing full of ideas, I don't normally get back to sleep for a couple of hours after that. I'm so excited. :D

All I want to do is make this record, blog about it when there's something to say, drop by here for a a natter every now and then and make a few vids along the way. I don't really have any interest in Twitter right now.

I'll happily get back involved once it's all done, but for now, I don't really care what the world's up to. As Imogen Heap once sang "I want to get on with getting on with things".  ;)

Right now for example, I'm filling up my shiny new MacBook with Komplete 8, Reason 6, ProTools 10 and a few other trinkets while writing this on the old laptop.

Gotta go.  :D x

That's what we want to hear. A bit more interesting than a Internet thingy.  :D

Fair play.
I can't argue with the goal, it just would be less scary if you just stopped using Twitter and DB, rather than destroying the accounts. Some Frost*ies get nervous when they hear metaphorical doors slamming. :)
Enjoy the creative adrenalin! :D

You should know by now that I'm very much in the "burn out than fade away/can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs" camp. I don't do subtle and well thought out, that's what Simon's for.   :P
