I'm thinking of a word starting with G... and that's Genius. :D

Well played, sir!

Quote from: "Pedro"I've just uploaded a rough sketch of how I "heard" the structure in my mind's ear.
I've only used blocks of ES' original track (not picked up any of the other goodness that folks have done yet).

So it's intro, stop/go pause, verse one, chorus one... just to convey the idea. Very "obvious"/conventional possibly but, as I say, just pinning up ideas.

The vocal line (represented by a shonky lead sound) is of course shamelessly copied from PocketSun, continuing the thought that our hero is stuck in 1976(!).

Verse#1
I had a window on my wall, when she lit up I saw it all,
...blah, blah, blah (some clever past/present/future-tense wordage here)...and finishing with...
But that was then and this is now, I must get back to me somehow....
Chorus
And I can feel the world is turning...something, something, something,  etc.

Great stuff Pedro. I'm currently working on going from a re-ochestrated version of the EIMA intro into your lovely acoustic sketch. May work, may not

It is very rough but I'd like to know if you think this works. Going from a re-orchestrated EIMA intro into Pedro's acoustic sketch - http://www.box.com/s/5t8x0acvkerrx9sjygb2  :?:

Does anyone here know if there's such a thing as freeware voice-to-midi for XP..?

Thanks for your feedback guys. I really wasn't sure how it would blend but I'm happy with it now.

I don't know if it's needed, but I just re-worked my end of it to match and hold the tempo of your nice take on EIMA.

The benefit is that, without the "expressive" slow-downs it better lends itself to not necessarily being at the end of the piece.
I also got to re-draw the picking a bit, which is always fun (for me), trying to still make it sound semi-"believable".  :)

That's lovely! :D

Good news, possibly. I've got the East West Pianos VST. The Big 240GB one. Well, I'm getting it soon, bought it really cheap from a mate, and it's absolutely stunning with multiple mic positions and whatnot. Expect to hear lots of that in this tune.  :)

Great! Will certainly look forward to hearing some of those sounds. I'm using Reason and Garageband at the mo so, I don't have copious amounts of sounds but, i am a guitarist!
