I got a friend request on MySpace from these guys: //http://www.myspace.com/tetrafusion
I had a listen to their stuff  - instrumental progressive metal - and was pleasantly impressed. You might care to check them out, if you're that way inclined.

They've produced a concept album based on the creation, life and death of the universe (as you do) so I should think they must be right up TA's street.

Geetar

I tried, but it's not my thing, sadly.

I gather they hail from Shreveport. I've been through and around Shreveport between twenty and thirty times over the years (having driven to Dallas and back twice a year for most of the last decade) and have nearly died from eating the local food on numerous occasions. Their music is perhaps more easily understood in this context.

YMMV, of course.
This space for sale.

I think Tetra fusion is started a  publicity offensive. I've got the friend request too. I'm not very impressed. It's good, but for me it's missing something.
If wishes where horses, we\'re all been eating steak.

Valhall

Same here, got the request and... loved it ! Album's on its way. Pretty cool stuff.
...Whatever.

SussexProgMan

Well I'd give it a five. It does lack something. Perhaps when they have located a dictionary and  found some words that they like, they may find the missing link. Alternatively, they did find the missing link just up the road once.  Perhaps Tetrafusion could visit and play in the rather nice pub in Piltdown?

Kyo

Their new release is an EP called "Horizons" and it was entirely funded by the fans through various pre-order packages. As a result, the band have decided to offer the music as a free download. Those who don't mind paying can choose their own price or just order the CD version (for $7).

Obviously I like it quite a bit. :)

Blimey; missed that the first time around. Since it's now >2.5 years later, that's one long street I've been unknowingly walking up ...  ;)

It's been so long I'd quite forgotten being terribly offended that you were ignoring me!

Giver her a slither of cheese, that'll REALLY get her going!  ;)

Oh, wasn't keen on the mix of the first track, sounded like 4 different instruments recorded in four different rooms on 4 different months. Maybe that's just me. Didn't dislike it, but it didn't grab me.

For a moment there, Brom, I thought you were describing how Yes' Union album was put together, until I realised that every time you said "four", you should have said "n, where n is a number somewhere between eight and twenty", and also added "by n different people, with n different producers, and with n voracious managers hovering in the background".

rogerg

silly astrophysicists.

There's an echo in here ... besides, my wife says that more or less weekly, so it's water off a duck's back by now

I'm sure Roger's post didn't say astrophysicists.  :?  :?  :?
