Why, oh, why haven't I heard of these guys before? Absolutely video geniuses. Really; the ideas are fantastic, the effort they must put in is amazing, and the results are top notch. And their music isn't half bad either, even if it ain't prog  8-)

While they have many, many brilliant videos, it's this one that I saw first and it's the one that caused me to wonder whether this is what Jem has in mind for creating F***; there's even a guitar break in there for JM  :lol:

The videos are incredibly creative.

The one that initially made their name (from what I gather) was the treadmill video

I love 'em.
My fave is the little Heath-Robinson / Rube Goldberg contraption they rigged for This Too Shall Pass. It's utterly unhinged.

My least fave was the Muppet one, it just seemed forced, better when they do their own thing.

The one for "End Love" amazed me.

Taken at face value, it took them more than a day of continuous shooting to put together, acting and miming to the song in slow-mo, while moving in real-time, so as to make a manic match to the music when speeded up.

I haven't watched it super carefully, but at first sight, the band appear to be on-camera continuously, making you wonder quite when they ate or took a leak.

As for Mikey's comment about "purpose?", well, "err, why prog?" or "err, why opera?" or "err, spaceflight?" or "err, why anything-other-than-eating-breathing-drinking-procreating-dying?"

Every time they do one of these awesome videos I always think "well they must be out of ideas by now..." then they do it again a few months later
