------------------------

I'm an audio engineering student and long time Frost* fan. Doing a cover of the Forget You Song for a bit of fun and potentially as something to submit. I've almost finished the tracking, just need to record the live drums before I can start mixing properly. I added a short 30 second guitar solo to it just for fun too.

I was just going through selecting the best vocal takes from the session the other day and I made this little a capella version of the final chorus and it shows the hilarious number of layers in the original. I didn't even record all of them, there are another 5-6 tracks worth of stuff at least, and Jem probably recorded every part four times instead of my two to begin with. But oh well!

Needs a touch a melodyne on the "oooveeeeeeeeer"s but other then that pretty much fine. Of course I'm going to process the hell of everything shortly, this is the au natural version.

Pedro

That's really cool. Well done sir.
Hey ES, we have a decent vocalist within range! ;)

That is SCHWEET!

Very jealous, some of the harmonies in that are brilliant. Good job, sir!

Cheers chaps.

I should mention that this isn't me singing, it's one of the other audio engineering students who is not so Frosty. I transcribed and arranged all the harmonies and recorded it.

Full mixed version eta is about early April!

I can whip something up but I have this dissertation thing I have to do or something, but once the track is finished (give or take a month), hell you guys can have all the stems if you want. Have a bit of a mix.

thanks!  I'm actually interested in the written notation, if you have it.

Okay here we go:

This is a very rough mix. Still one or two drum edits to fix, and barely any effects. The final version will probably sound very different.
