Hello

Today, I had a craving for jammy dodgers and, naturally, for a craving, I had none in ye olde house.

I improvised with a malted milk and raspberry jam sandwich hack.

It was okay, but obviously the jam was slippery and not gummy like in a proper jammy dodger.  It was also kind of wrong but I did make two and they were both okay - in some ways the chilled centre layer (I keep my jam in the fridge) meant that the malted milks could be dunked for longer before disintegration.

Anyone else hack biscuits? Does this qualify as a biscuit cocktail?

Speaking of which could you make a white russian with Yakult?

Yours, experimentally,

Jimbo

What is very dark, or perhaps magical, or just naff, is that I have a plethora of malted milks because I recently bought a Tesco "Value Biscuit Barrel Assortment" (and I don't have a biscuit barrel) and these contain 3 packs of MMs.  The other two packs making up the "assortment" are identically sized custard creams and bourbons.

The potential exists therefore to dismantle and then marry together the custard creams and bourbons in exciting combinations.

I have worked out the following (may require extra tools like a spatula)...

1. bourbon biscuits with custard cream fillings
2. custard cream biscuits with bourbon fillings
3. a custard cream biscuit with custard cream filling attached married to a bourbon biscuit
4. a bourbon biscuit with bourbon filling attached married to a custard cream biscuit
5. a bourbon biscuit with half the bourbon filling attached married to a custard cream biscuit with half the custard cream filling attached in an opposing horizontal configuration
6. a bourbon biscuit with half the bourbon filling attached married to a custard cream biscuit with half the custard cream filling attached in an opposing vertical configuration
