Awrite loves?!

First off, sorry for not getting on here sooner, I've been stationed in London these last couple of days doing Gospel songs in German, long story...

Anyways, I just wanted to say a personal and truly heartfelt THANK YOU to everybody who came down, Nellie gave me me much feedback about what happened with the get in and I do sincerely apologise to those who didn't get in in time. It was ambitious with a 7pm door call and a 7.30 stage call, but Sunday was the only day we could get at The Scala. As it turned out, with It Bites appearing as well, my initial idea that hiring a venue 3 times the size of The Peel (having taken on board last year's comments!) would be big enough turned out not to be the case... I am sorry about that.

Obviously, just as bad would be us hiring something too big (Hammy O?!) and us all rattling round it slightly embarrassedly, thus destroying the atmosphere, so I can only hold my hand up and apologise for underestimating the event. I would genuinely welcome suggestions for suitably sized venues going forwards. Us and IB are considering doing some more double headliners next year so do please get involved in the plans, you are THE most important part of these things after all!  :D

I have much news to bring you very soon. I just have to do some legal stuff first with one piece of news and try and quantify the rest, but rest assured there is much goodness to bring.  :D

In the meantime, again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for being such wonderful, kind, supportive, loving people. I wouldn't and couldn't do it without you. 8-)

Have a peaceful Xmas and see you bright and early in the New Year. New Frost reports will quickly explain why.  ;)

What ho!!  Sounds like it was a blinder, and someday we'll get across the pond to see you on the home turf.

Grats on a job well done, sir!

Backatcha! It was great to hear the new Frost*ery for the first time and Milliontown before its holiday. Not a night I will forget in a hurry!
Frost*, monkey, trumpet, ARSE!!

Thank you sir. I can only guess at the amount of work that must have gone into the preparation for that gig. Not just the music but all the special things that can only happen at a Frost* gig (to misquote Pedro).

Next year sounds very exciting. More gigs! Yay!!  :D

On a more serious note, how about we F*orumites passing round the hat and setting up a fund to help the more geographically challenged Frost*ies get to some gigs? I remember when the interwebs was in its infancy, the best part of 20 years ago, subscribers to the Yes newsgroup did just that and one lucky Aussie fan got the holiday of his life in California, seeing and meeting the band he thought he'd never see live. Does anyone else think we could manage that?

I'd bung a tenner in the hat, particularly to get gr8gonzo over for Celebr8.2. :)

@Jem: (before the thread's last wheel comes off the rails!) It was a brilliant show and we thank you for it. :D

Thank you Jem (and the gang) for bringing us lovely Frost* to end our year once again, the gig was great fun and the new songs sounded great. Really great, proper Frost* songs, very exciting.

Looking forward to seeing what the new year has to bring. Merry Christmas to you too.

Duey - I like that idea. I brought a friend along with me to the gig and he remarked on how much he liked the 'community spirit' (what with the biscuits and all that), I think it is special and a gig fund like that would be a nice addition to that.

@Pedro - MOST kind of you to make such a suggestion. I do appreciate that, but as much as I would love to attend every Frost* gig, I did have the great fortune of witnessing The Philadelphia Experiment... TWO HOURS of Frost* with NICK D'VIRGILIO on drums in a very suitably sized venue, Tenori-On Snowman, the meet & greet, the after party chat with Dec, Rog & Cairn (and a cameo by Jem), etc. etc. My wife and I boarded a plane and it flew us 1,000 miles from home just to see Frost* and the show was beyond fabulous and worth every penny. If such a forum-funded fan flight fundraiser were held, I would hope to contribute to a Frost*ie who has not yet seen the band live. Meanwhile, I shall attempt to tuck my own loose change away and get myself 'cross the pond one of these days.

@Smart - I dunno where you got that shirt/sweatshirt/hoodie/whatever it is, but I want one!!

@Jem - Your update is as wondrefully teased as Poison's hair on the "Look What the Cat Dragged In" album. I excitedly await official word of whatever it may be.
...and I can feel the world is turning...turn around

Jem thank you once again for another great gig and for the opportunity to photograph it :)

I look forward to whatever the future holds for Frost*.

Can I just say a thank you to the Frost*ies who've been viewing my photos today. In 24hrs I've had over 5,500 views on flickr which is the most I think I've had for a single day's viewing ever :D

Come to the US again! Around San Francisco to be exact. I know, i know. One can only dream. My sister's taking her Masters in London right now and I asked her to watch Frost*Bites for me (so at least some part of me will be finally able to see both tremendously awesome prognamic bands.. not quite still. *sigh*) She was going to.. until we found out she was set to come home for the holidays ON THE 16TH. Why. :( Still keeping my fingers and toes crossed though. :D  Please let me know when to uncross them.

Hi Jem,more gigs next year with It Bites maybe-sounds great-how about gigs up north,as we travelled to Frost Bites from Newcastle(Sage 2 Gateshead would be a cracking venue after seeing It Bites there a few year ago)

SmartUK

@gr8gonzo The hoodie is official swag from Nellie via frost-music.co.uk (available in brown or blue)
Frost*, monkey, trumpet, ARSE!!

Mikey

Absolutely cracking gig Jem.
If a venue sells out, it can't be the band's fault that the place is rammed, that would be the limit set by Health & Safety. Other than a couple of idiots arsing about behind us, I thought the venue had enough vantage points for anyone to get a good view.

More Frost*Bites? bring it on, I'll throw the Picturedrome, Holmfirth into the hat, John's played there so knows the venue
I used to have a signature

E.S.

Thank you for yet another excellent gig. I really enjoyed, and have been enjoying the youtubed versions of the two new tunes, sounds proper Frosty. :)
Also lovely to witness Milliontown before it goes on the shelf for a while.

So when is next time then? :D

There was actually quite a bit of room down the front at the sides but people seemed to just stand on the stairs, perhaps to get a better view,  and block other people. On the plus side, loads of room to boogie!
