Well...
where to begin.
Let's start with a bit of actual physics (rather than what was in that link)
The speed of light in a vacuum is EXACTLY 299,792,458 metres per second*.
One Nautical mile = 1852 metres
Which means... (drum roll please Mr Blundell) ... The speed of light in a vacuum in nautical miles per second is...
161,874.992 (Not, actually very close to 144,000)
So if there is some kind of universal woo woo link between natural vibrations of sound and the speed of light it would kind of nice if the maths actually worked out wouldn't it?
There are some wonderful bits mathematical elegance out there in the natural world (not least, how often Pi crops up in stuff, not necessarily to do with circles) but this, as it happens is not one of them.

However, even slowed down by 1.8% BLM is still a work of genius
*This is exactly, because SI units are derived from repeatedly observable universal constants, and the SI unit of length, the metre = the length of the path traveled by light in vacuum during a time interval of 1/299,792,458 of a second.
