Hi folks. Just thought i'd post this version of Los Endos performed live by my mate Aithon and I, in front of a largely bemused audience in Doncaster. :) https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/14720207/Los%20endos%20Cover.mp3 Doing our bit to keep prog alive in Doncaster for folk who couldn't care less. Haha. Hope you likey.

Rook

Nicely done. What instrument(s) are you playing?

tigermoth

Thanks a lot Rook. :) I'm on keys, bass pedals and guitar. That's my excuse for my mistakes. :) My mates on the kit and we both have a go at singing.. We get together once in a while  and force people to listen to Genesis! haha

Rook

All at once? Live? Colour me impressed. As I was listening, I thought it was either 2 keyboard players, one of whom switches to guitar or one keyboard player being rather fancy... And a drummer and bass player.

I play keys, guitar and bass, but not usually more than 2 at a time...

tigermoth

:) Thank you. Yes altogether. It's something I stumbled upon when a bassist left a band I was in years ago and we couldn't find a replacement. I switched to keyboard and did the songs just on that, but we missed the guitar, so I bought the bass pedals, stuck the keyboard and guitar on a double keyboard stand and off we went. It works pretty well for pop and rock stuff like we'd played back then, but for complicated prog stuff it can often go bosoms up. Theres just too much to remember and do at once. That's why we only tend to do genesis stuff now and again for a bit of fun, but we record it and sometimes it can be fairly passable. At one time we were thinking of doing it seriously and I wanted to call us "And then there were 2" but we decided against it. Do you do any gigs by the way? :)

Rook

I just rejoined my old band from about 10 years ago. They continued on as a 4 piece after I left, so the fastset way for us to get back up to speed and gigging is for me to play bass. Give it about a month...

Place us somewhere in the Rush/Queensrÿche/Van Halen continuum. Here is a super old song that got a bit of radio play, recorded by them after I had already moved to the U.S.

Nice one Rook. Great track. I hope the rehearsals go well. I've got a Prog album that i'm hopefully going to put out in the next 3 months. I'm new to these forums so I wonder is it the done thing to talk about that sort of thing and try and promote it a bit? It's my first venture in to writing prog stuff. I've been so inspired by all the new prog bands i've found out about in the last couple of years. My favourite radio station is now the dividing line. My second favourite is probably Atlantic 252 tribute station. I'm not quite sure what this says about my psychi but there you go. :)

Oh, for sure. There is a whole sub forum specifically for that; friends of Frost*. Would love to hear about your album. How are you tracking it?

tigermoth

Cool. I'll take a look and get some snippets on there soon. Sorry, but what do you mean by tracking? :)
