Hi Frosties.

I'm doing a gig with the solo bass virtuoso, Steve Lawson and Julie Slick, bassist from Adrian Belew's band and The Crimson Project.

More details here...

We are doing an improvised set, using a lot of processing and effects. The gig will be recorded and we are hopefully planning to release some more material featuring this group. I'm also planning doing something a lot more proggy with Julie later this year but more about that later...

All the best TBE

Please come down and say hello.

A drummer and two bassists? Interesting indeed.

Not sure I'll be able to get anywhere near Birmingham on a Sunday night but I hope it goes well and I'm very interested in hearing the stuff.

Ah, and there was me thinking I might have had an exclusive a few hours ago or so  ::)

Had an email from Steve this morning asking me for permission to use one of my pictures of Jem on Flickr for use on a Facebook announcement and Bandcamp ticket image for a gig together on 10 August.

More than happy to comply, of course, not least because it's unlikely that I'll be able to make it to the gig myself. Being there in some kind of virtual manner may have to do  8)

I work in Birmingham and live only about an hour away and my girlfriend lives even closer so we may well pop along to this. It'll make a nice change from having to travel to London! Seeing Jem's rig (oo-err) makes me even more interested!
