Hi fellow Frost*lets!

Red Bazar (wot I joined last year) are gradually but surely putting together a new set of choons which will become our next album.

We made a conscious decision earlier this year to introduce more vocals into our hitherto 99.9% instrumental fare, and a fortunate series of events has just made this possible. The lovely Tigermoth has done us chaps at Bazar Towers a rather massive favour by collaborating on a track entitled "Calling Her On'. His lyrics came about from a germ of an idea I had about the thoughts of an astronauts wife left behind on Earth while hubby went gallovanting off across the universe. A bit like Space Oddity in reverse. Thankfully Pete aka Tigermoth rescued the day with some great lyrics and a fantastic vocal performance. He really did us proud, and hopefully we will collaborate again in the future, time permitting (something tells me he is going to be a very busy little Moth when his album Cocoon is released in September!)

And we've just entered the track into a competition by Prog Magazine run for unsigned bands, so fingers crossed. We will probably do more overdubs for the album and re-record bits and bobs, but here's a taster of where we are currently at - just click the play button under the big red whirly thing!
Hope you like:

That's fantastic! Really, really good stuff. Mr. Tigermoth really takes it to the next level. I hear soooooo many prog bands and cannot count how often I think, "Oh, this sounds nice. I like this music." and then an unbearable vocal enters the scene and I can't stop it fast enough. That is not the case here. A vocalist of this quality is incredibly rare. Pete really delivers the goods and the music ticks all the boxes I like to tick. I'm generally not one to buy instrumental albums, but with this level of vocal on board, count me in. I hope you're able to do more together. Well done!
...and I can feel the world is turning...turn around

Excellent!  and not just a bit Frost*y!

Thanks for the nice comments - at least we know we are going in the right direction. We didn't intend it to sound Frost*y at all really, but I must admit the Leslie/filtered vocal treatment at the beginning DOES sound like the kind of thing Jem would do. It's something Pete came up with on his original demo vocals and it really fits the tone of the lyrics so we kept it!  :)

Hi folks. Sorry, only just seen this. It's been great to be involved in this project. As some of you may know, i'm working with Sawtooth and all the basist from Red Bazar in my Tiger Moth Tales project, and it was only a natural progression that I should end up doing a good turn for them if I could. Add the fact that the prog world seems to be some what insestuous, with everyone working with everyone else, and it was only a matter of time till we collaberated. I'm really pleased with how it's come out, although these are possibly some of the darkest lyrics I've ever written. Not sure what that indicates. :) But i'm working on two more tracks for the Bazar guys and hoping to have something to offer them next week if I can pull my lyrical finger out.
Glad to see it's gone down well with the chaps on here, and I think this is a sign of more good things to come. Thanks for asking me to be a part of it. :)
