Bugger that, I want the second album. The first one hasn't even got to me yet, but what ho.

Oh wait, the second one is here on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Cocoon-2-Return/dp/B00E8G5HMI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1417669224&sr=8-1&keywords=cocoon+2

Good lord! So it is. I must have had a blackout. Lol

It's arrived! And thank you for the nice little card. Lovely cover too. But...I can't listen to it until tomorrow. Oh well....

Another one ordered, TMT! Mine will take a while longer to arrive, but I suppose I can be patient.  :)
...and I can feel the world is turning...turn around

3 songs in and, um, not at all sensible ;D Really enjoying this and this is in the car, never mind "proper listening". When you're rich and shameless could you get Rob Reed to remix it in surround? That would be truly all it needs. Next song Summer...

Mooncat

Took it for it's first spin last night, loving the English-ness of the humour and the playing and vocals are superb. Certainly an amazing debut. 8) 8)

Thanks Owen and Mooncat. A surround mix, one day who knows. But by the time I get round to that it'll probably be obsolete. Lol. Thanks for the kind words chaps. So glad people are enjoying it.

Well ... I knew as was listening to the first few big chords of Tigers in the Butter way back in October on 2103 (has it been that long??), I just knew it was right up there with the best of the kind of prog I like. It provoked similar reaction to when I first heard Milliontown, and that's saying an awful lot, obviously. A real shivers down the spine kinda thing. I love it to bits, and it's a big plus that the bloke behind it is such a nice, humble guy.
Pete - you deserve every success with this mate.
It's a bloody MONSTER!  :)

Actually I felt it got better, which was nice. It's always good to think "what's the mad bugger going to do next? And I loved Tiger and umm... Not Trumpton, (can't remember the proper name). Forget nice, that's the wrong word. Anyway made me smile a lot so cheers

I'd never have thought of rhyming that with "cassock"!

Yes Sawtooth it has been that long. :). But thank you for your kind words and advice along the way. Also, look forward to playing this stuff with you and the Bazar boys next year.
"Actually I felt it got better, which was nice." Thanks Owen. I was speaking to Gr8Gonzo about this, and I've taken a bit of a risk in putting the tracks I was .... shal we say not quite so sure of, at the beginning. I know most albums feature their best tracks at the beginning then leave a couple of good ones for the end, but I wanted to try and make it get better all the way through. This may work against me I don't know, but it's out there now. :)
"I'd never have thought of rhyming that with "cassock"!"
Lol, no it's not a word I'd usually think to put in a song, but that track is bassed loosely in truth, and it was a case of finding a rhyme for Wazoc or however you spell it. When I thought of cassock I just thought, "Oh yes, it's got to go in!". Divine inspiration? Maybe not. :)

Just listened through Cocoon for the first time and agree with virtually all of the comments above.  I was relieved to find I wasn't the only one to think it got progressively (in all senses ;)) better as it went on - bit of a high risk strategy as some may not stay the course.  Until about 3 minutes into Tigers (love the Casio VL-Tone BTW!), I was getting a little worried as the bonkers / sound effects / narration (sorry, never a fan of narration in music except perhaps War of the Worlds) to great music ratio was in the balance - but after that point, I was hooked!  Pete, I'd be happy to listen to / buy as much guitar playing like the end of Tigers and The First Lament as you're able to release! I can't believe the level of skill that you have on so many very different instruments - astonishing.  Being brought up on the likes of Camberwick Green, Trumpton & Chigley, I loved A Visit to Chigwick.  Don't Let Go, Feels Alright was a fitting finale.
Yes, you wear your influences on your sleeve (Genesis / Hackett / BBT / Gary Moore and possibly a little Anthony Phillips and even Kevin Gilbert?) but you've weaved them together in a new and original way.
I will be listening to Cocoon for a long time yet and I can tell that it is the sort of album which will just get better with repeated listenings. Congrats!
Come on, you\'re a lion!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but my car says the artist is called Cocoon and the album is called TMT :o
