Sony don't say "Our laptops are a steaming pile of horsesh#t" either; but that has been my experience, both times we bought them for the business.

The solitary HP  we use has been fine (except for its glacially slow, a-bit-here-a-bit-there approach to loading new windows). Our Macs have been mostly fine- one bad one out of eight over a twelve year period, due to failed caps on the power supply board.
