So I recently decided that since I'm a grown up making money from playing bass now in a function band, I'm going to do the responsible thing and save that money for when I need it.

No.

That did not happen.

I bought this.

And it looks like a piece of want and plays like a rumbly jesus. Oh how I love it so.

And as a result. I'm writing all the new Flying Machine stuff with the bass tuned to AEADGC. Godspeed cover artists.

Also merry christmas.

When I took it into work one of the drum tutors exclaimed "blimey, it's like the M6!"

Currently my favourite comment.

Very nice, the fanned frets do look like they'd help with dealing with 6 strings... though I have enough trouble with 4.

Hey Rob, Jake just posted a topic on Nat demoing basses. If you search to the end guess what he's playing!

OH WOW, thanks so much for bringing this to my attention. So nice to see that it's not just me clinging to a gimmick. Now I just have to learn to play it like this... o.O

And the follow up, with the latest model. Wherein we see Nathan wussing out and deciding he wasn't going to play an Ibanez 7 string

Mordwin

Not sure I blame him, that thing is scary!
