Sad news indeed, although being there to say goodbye is a good thing.

Wasn't possible for me when my mum died suddenly nearly two years ago: so many things left unsaid ...

I can only echo the sentiments abuv. Very sad indeed, and my thoughts go out to Simon, Jem, family and friends. Simon's post on FB was very moving. RIP.

To echo my comments on the blog post - even in such a terrible moment Jem managed to still be Jem and expressed his thoughts and feelings wonderfully.
