Have just been playing with a new headphone amplifier in a nice quiet room, and of course, Falling Satellites had to be played.

(BTW, Jem: any chance of somehow getting hold of a hi-res 96KHz/192KHz/384kHz 24-bit version?)

Anyway, just wanted to say that I'd never heard the faint whistle of the steam engine under the bird song in the fade-out of Last Day before.

Lovely touch.

Blimey well spotted, I hadn't heard that either! What does it mean I wonder. Does this say anything about the year that the story takes place? Is it a memory playing out?
