I was lucky to have a listening copy for quite a while before the release. Thing One had it as his bedtime music for weeks and learned all the words. One day we were playing the CD in the car when Towerblock came on. Thing Two calmly states, "Jem should fix this CD" and starts air-drumming ;D and as I'm humming and singing along to the crazy bit, Thing One says "No, no, no, you've got it all wrong, it's like this......"
My work here is done.
It's in the post!

mine likes Sinatra. Actually part of me thinks, "Well the man can sing" but... ??? Clearly not what he's been brought up on

My little boy also likes the new album. He likes all the albums actually.

As a treat I'll be taking him to the gig at the Robin 2 in Bilston, as long as he promises to be good.

He should be ok though, after all he is 27.  ;)
Vinyl isn't dead.....it's just difficult to prevent fatal injuries.

So many layers that you know you have to listen again? - Tick
Sweet songs that I can play to Mrs L33VEY? - Tick
Bonkers songs that frighten so called prog fans?  - Tick
Vinyl artwork that's going to look great one the wall once the boys sign it? - Tick
So good that even Folklore can't get a look in at the moment? Tick
Every bit as good as Milliontown which brought me back to prog? - Tick
Currently playing in The Frost*mobile:  Frost* Day and Age

If I was more talented
If I could play better,
If I had the imagination,
If I had less distractions
If I was more driven
If I had better gear
If I didn't have a day job
If I didn't have to make stupid excuses...

....I'd write music just like Falling Satellites  ;D

Absolutely LOVE it.

This review should appear in a sticker on the shrink wrapping.
I've seen paupers as kings,
puppets on strings
dance for the children who stare
you must have seen them everywhere

Funnily enough I'm using Folklore as a sort of palate cleanser. They work well together

I could go on and on about quintuplets, production geekery, how easy the maze on the cover is to solve, and something about the goddamn commies and other completely unrelated filler nonsense like you're supposed to do in reviews to fill space and make your sentences so long they're practically unreadable to the average reader because it feels like talking without being able to breathe until you're blue in the face due to the lack of oxygen to the brain which can be damaging even after a few seconds and while we're at it screw punctuation as well you're completely lost at this point anyway, but I'll say this:

It's the best one yet.

A fairytale in negative

There doesn't appear to be a "Newbies introduction" thread, so I might as well just dive straight in and give my thoughts on Falling Satellites as post no. 1.

Really really love this album! And it's grown on me even more in the weeks since release. My favourite track is definitely Signs, although Heartstrings and Numbers are not too far behind. The middle section in particular is especially awesome!
