Quote from: "CRS Website"Awards Night - Ticket Warning!
A warning to all that BOTY Awards Night tickets are VIRTUALLY SOLD OUT and we may not have any left on the door. If you intend coming - PLEASE check this site before travelling.

If you intend coming - we seriously recommend you buy them now using the online Rokshop or from the box office on 01709 702575.

Note, also, that due to the high capacity crowd seating will be very limited and we will not have any loose chairs inside the venue for health and safety reasons. If you require a seat please ensure you are early.
Quite possibly....nope
I used to have a signature

QuoteMrs is trying to make me feel guilty...working on it ;)

Any tactical suggestions?

If you are still being made to feel guilty at going you could always make her VERY happy by doing something for her        and then she will be more inclined to make less of a comment about it.......
It has been known to work for me...

What, you mean doing the hoovering????????? ;)  ;)  ;)
It's not the winning or even taking part. It's the arsing about that counts.

I can recommend a nice cup of tea (or beverage of her preference) in bed in the morning. I always feel much more kindly disposed to my husband if he brings me a cup of tea in bed.

wickedwitch

my other half let me sleep in til 11;30 today (of course i did do the breakfast shift of 7 - 8:30 but the thought was there!)  i'd do just about anything for a few hours extra kip (except empty the eco waste bucket into the compost bin. uck thats a mans job!)

In a never-to-be-repeated attack of taking a thread back on-topic I'd like to say that Mrs Tom (or Vicky to use the more formal address) will be joining me and dad...and you lot...at Wath on Saturday.

So don't let me down you lot.

It's for the rest of the CRS audience to do that. :-)
I was a victim of goose-flirting the other day.
This bleeding great goose came up to me and wanted a light.
I said no.
Goose, there\'ll be no flirting today.

THUNDERFROG!!!!!!!!

Update from the CRS:

It is absolutely important that if you don't have a ticket for Awards Night you buy it immediately as we are now down to under FIFTEEN tickets remaining. Once they are gone, they are gone and there will be none on sale on the door.

We do expect this night to sell out and will announce on the site the minute it does.

Many, many thinks to those who've PMed or chirped in here.
Alas, it ain't a go-er for us. Magenta are on at 7, awards 8 until 9-ish, some other band* at 9.30-ish.
Given that the lad is usually asleep by 7.30, we'd have a devil of a job keeping him entertained through the (boring for a 6yo) awards, especially as he'd be getting very crotchetty*.  And it'd cost us a lot for an event he won't definitely enjoy.

I've pondered sneaking over after the festivities here, but I would probably get there after 9.30 anyway :(

I shall be thinking of you all.... someone text me with all the awards that our lads have won, ok?

* Probably dotted-crotchetty, this being prog.
* May contain nuts.

I will also need someone to give me a blow-by-blow account of the evening's merriment seeing as I will be stuck at home several hundreds of miles away due to lack of funds.

I'll never forgive you lot if you go for a curry without me.

Well I'm leaving the big camera at home but the advantage of taking the compact is it has a video function :D

Just watch out for Kris Hudson-Lee....the CRS anti-video police. He scans the crowd enforcing their very clear policy. I think that it is OK with permission but they like permission to be established in advance rather than leaving it until Kris has you in a head-lock!

Am I confusing him with another Kris (Chris) Hudson, who got up and did a song with The Reasoning at CRS gig last year, of which I have two cameras worth of video footage and lets just say he didn't look the enforcer type ;)
