Or, maybe, this?

They look fairly convincing to me!!

I think the Emo synths are possibly some of the original Weapons of Prog

Quote from: "JamesA"As someone who only listens and cannot play in any way...can I suggest gatefold sleeves as a weapon of prog, please.

Absolutely. Any conditions ? Presumably anything by Roger Dean or Hipgnosis ?

Good job I didn't have a gob full of tea/wine/beer/water, It would be sprayed all over my desk/keyboard/monitor. That made I larf.

Oh you have a set of Taurus II's!  I love my set of 1's!! I need to get a pic.

Good thread!  Can I just say that I love the sound of bass pedals, and Moog Taurus sound great, but the Moog ones are sons of Satan and the 2's, with their keyboard and a half malarkey, rather than just one octave, are just against God and nature..!  It's hard enough playing keyboards with your feet without facing that!

Yes I do play them, a set of Midi Roland PK5's triggering a sample (actually Pete Gee's nicely finagled by Rob Aubrey) but when faced with set of 2's in Mexico, I said No daddy!  The original pedals always have interesting tuning issues in my experience, but samples - no problem!

Anyway, Weapon's of Prog - anyone remember those drums Alan White had about Relayer that all projected out at an angle like a big horn? What were they called?

I know the ones you mean, but I can't seem to find any images. I think the original drummer in Simple Minds had a set too.

So, on the subject of the percussive Weapons of Prog, Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you... Carl Palmer's Stainless Steel drumkit... in many ways the "triple-gatefold sleeve" of drumkits
