On Feb 12th, we will be surrounded by builders, electricians and technical people. If you didn't know The Peel has studios in the basement of the building. The reception area is being gutted to include a Radio Station (details to follow) & a state of the art digital recording studio.

The recording gear will also be hooked up to the live venue to be able to create live radio sessions. We are also sorting out a Television show that will broadcast certain artists.

I'm very excited about the new studios because it means that certain bands will be able to be captured live proffessionally with 24 separate tracks + ambient crowd mics. Artists will have the option to have the recording mixed, the quality will be state of the art.

Classic Rock Magazine's Future Publishing are about to announce an exciting new publication that launches at  end of March. I'm over the moon that they have contacted me and want to include The House of Progression Shows & feature us on a regular basis.
The first reviews will be last Saturday's Panic Room show & this weeks Pineapple Thief show.

It is therefore, not surprising that both the radio station & recording studios will also be up and running by March.

We are grasping new technology & embracing it like a passionate lover. The music business is changing, it's new, fresh & very exciting.  :D

If it means that Classic Rock magazine does not have a major feature on Guns n Roses and/or bands that feature people who used to be in Guns n Roses every single issue then that can only be a good thing.

This is excellent news.
However, all that we need now is to transplant The Peel to somewhere a little more 'accessible'.
I would so like to see gigs at The Peel, but the prospect of a 2-3 hour trip (by train) each way is just too offputting.

How about a 'Peel Central London'  :?:

Ahh we've got round that technicality by joining Guns n' Roses, then we left. Yes, I've been in Gn'R, You've been in Gn'R & so's my next door but one's wife. I have a sneaky suspicion that the staff in the kebab shop have also been in Gn'R. Obviously a staff member of Kentucky Fried Chicken has also been in said band. He loved it so much he wore a Chicken Bucket on his head, then he left. :D

Sorry but we are very close to central London by train. Ummm unless it snows of course. ;) One of the reason's we are able to offer the bands top dollar is, we aren't Central London therefore my costs for these shows are lower.

Bands really do get a raw deal in good ol' London town. With us they don't. One of the reasons they come back. Our sound is also far superior to most of the London venues of our size.

And to add something else to that I had no trouble making the last train back to London on a Sunday night after It Bites played, so the trains are good!

(thanks for another great gig on Saturday, by the way, I had a really good time!)

Twang, this is excellent news! I have a fascination with recording live sound, and this sounds like a marvelous venture. Maybe you could extend the buisness and even get some Music students (such as myself  :D ) in on trips and/or work experience to see how state-of-the-art technology really rolls.

I do plan on getting to The Peel at some point, but alas, Slartibartfast didn't construct Hull's location in a very good, er, location. Good luck with the builders!
