And why is it so ultra cool to have a MS10 or 20 or Minimoog (from the 70's) or a TR303 or 909 (from the 80's) or an old strat (from the 50's) or a Hammond (from the 50's) but not a Mellotron (from the 60's/70's)?!

Some even spend shitloads of money on a Charvel EVH reissue (about 20K) or a Moog Taurus reissue (5K) which is concidered to be mega cool gear.

Which I think just goes to prove that gear fluxes in and out of popularity, give it a few months and some other item of gear will be "the thing to have". Who knows might even be the mellotron. :D
