I swear, I can write a book on bad luck.
And this would be Ch. 1.

June 12, 2009 - Frost/Dream Theater

VS

June 12, 2009 - FAITH NO MORE REUNION SHOW AT THE DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL

I'm posting this assuming you guys know who FNM is. If not, I suggest you bow your head in shame! Either way, I know I'm seeing Frost in may, but I was really looking forward to the legendary Frost/DT show. But now that my 2nd favorite band of all time has announced their fucking REUNION after 11 years!!! I'm going to have to weigh them both... This is tough. This like picking between a mansion and a Ferrari. I mean I'm not even exaggerating about the fav's thing, Frost and Faith No More are literally my two favorite bands of all time. And they HAVE to play on the same day right? haha. God is laughing at people like me.

EDIT:
this entire post may have been completely useless? How is DT playing both these gigs? Now I'm baffled.

you must have seen them everywhere

Well well, you should go to FNM then... if you catching Frost on may of course...
Here in my country happens something that really sucks.. Im not a person who have a LOT OF MONEY... and sudendly now appeared like 10 concert in a less of time of two weeks!

Mike Patton/Chris Cornell
Kiss
Opeth
Sonic Youth
Peter Gabriel
Heaven and hell
A-ha/Blondie
Radiohead

Wish i could go to every concert... but i can't so im going to choose... thats my bad luck :(

Anyway Peter Gabriel is my first choice so far!!! I love him, he is just brilliant!

Dude... My sujest is: Go to FNM! That day will be just EPIC.
Sorry Frost* :(

Pajter

I would see FNM too. Frost* will do many more awesome gigs (hopefully). FNM may be a once in a lifetime chance to see. Especially after an 11 year reunion.

For the record, I like Frost* better than FNM. (just saying so I don't get banned from this forum..  )

You MUST got to FNM. If I'd known they were playing, I'd have joined you. I adore FNM.

I expect a full set report when you get back here afterwards.  :D

So there it is.. the man at the center of all that is Frost* has given the blessing for you to attend the FNM reunion. Your life no longer sucks   :D

You'll have to hope a potential Frost DVD is made of the events and then you can get the beers in for an evening of fun afterwards  :D

Jem you're actually blowing my mind right now.
But it seems so right that great musicians recognize other great musicians. That being said, Jem Godfrey collaborating with Mike Patton would make my life. Such a mismatched combination of genre, it would define the word genius. Aah, that's crazy to think about.

edit: can't fuckin wait til rosfest.

I would certainly suggest you go with FNM. No offence to our beloved Frost*, but surely there will be many chances to catch them live over the next few years !

With that said, I remember a period of perhaps 3 years in the mid-90's when Faith toured the UK constantly. I must have seen them live 4 or 5 times and every one was a blast !

Anyone else out there remember the intro tape into ' From out of nowhere ', with the band standing motionless, fists in the air, just prior to that first massive riff starting and all hell breaking loose !

Happy Days !
