I bought some Spam recently, just for the hell of it. I could not believe how bloomin salty it was! We stopped adding salt to things ages ago.... I guess my tastebuds have changed accordingly, especially since my student days when a double decker sandwich of fried spam and two fried eggs with the center slice fried was a constant feature on my menu!

Spam is god, especially spam and egg on a soft roll for brecky.....

In fact, I now have an idea, spam 'n' egg cookies! I'll post pictures if someone (Catherine) will panel them...

For my part, it reminds me of primary school. Deep fried spam fritters every Friday, it was a real treat ! We start our heart attack training young here in the west of Scotland !

I had some friends round last night and did Vodka & cloudy lemonade jelly / Gin & tonic jelly serviced with ice cream and mini gingerbread man ( from Asda, £1.18 for about 300 in a little plastic tub, high on the shelf, so can't be for kids) and one of those sickly seet Gu desserts, mmmmmmm. Anyway what about... (drum roll)
