I was privileged to have a cup of tea in bed (a rare treat) and the newspaper to read (minus the Sport, Business and In Gear sections, obviously, as they're the "Man's Bits" and I wouldn't be interested in them) plus some chocolates!

i had a lie in til 9am (if you dont count the bit between 5 and 6am!) lovely toast and oranges though! and daughter the first did a powerpoint presentation about how lovely i am. cool eh?!

Same here, and yet I'm quite sure it's not even the same day in May in our respective countries, so that's three days. There are probably more. In fact, we should list them all and make sure the families of the Frost*ie mums know about all of these days and treat the ladies to more lie-ins and half-buttered slices of toast! (;-)

I consider myself lucky to get one day!

My extra-special Mothers' Day treat today was - wait for it - ordering a new washing machine!

(Old one is 8 years old and clapped out and doesn't spin properly - you can take a sock out after the cycle has allegedly finished, squeeze it, and get about half a pint of water out of it.)

Bet the pump/impeller/filter is blocked by either :-
- hair,
- a 10p coin
- a paper clip, or
- all of the above!

<a must-be-tired-but-still-have-work-to-do giggle moment> Actually mistyped "filter" in the above and got "fitler" which struck me as a great name for an over-bearing gym instructor.

Also look at the outlet pipe, where it joins onto the sink or whatever. Ours regularly gets clogged up with cat/lady/fey meejatart hair and the pump just can't push stuff through.

Not that this is any help, given that you've got a lovely new one on the way...
