Technically brilliant, but...... so much talent, so little content.

I think there's more substance in one single painting by either Velasquez, Goya, El Greco or Picasso than in his entire career. Avida Dollars, indeed.

...especially like an indulgent slice of coffee Madera cake....complimented with a cup of freshly brewed coffee....that paints a great picture to me

This is like one of those pessimist/optimist things....the optimist sees the sponge as still half alright....

yes.... but.... the sponge, being a sponge, is doing things sponges do.

So the balance is more like 30/70 than 50/50, in favour of which, depends on your leanings. Personally  don't think you can have too much evap.    Even working in a place that made it one Summer didn't put me off.

Most mornings I have 1 slice of toast (grainary) with half of it spread with marmite, and the other half with peanut butter.
