Good news for US-based Frosties* who are fans of either Yes, Asia or both! (Really sorry about that sentence, it's rubbish.) http://www.yesworld.com/

Still, it's a bit of a shame that bands like Yes and King Crimson continue to neglect the UK. Even Rush managed to pay a flying visit in 2007 (which I missed, bah!).

Oh well.

Jem

Rather chucklingly, I added Geoff Downes to my Plaxo account yesterday, I categorized him as family for a laugh and I got a mail from Plaxo today saying that he'd requested that I change it to something else!! What is it with me and members of Yes??

JM says he's a lovely man, but to do that seems a little... :?

Maybe it's time for another Celebrity Prog-a-likes entry...

Changing the topic (as is traditional), I'm happy to see that you're happy to be amongst (just) friends here on the forum, Jem, according to your recent tweet. We're happy that you're happy and so on ...

Were things ever that bad around here, though? I must have been so pleased with EIMA myself that I was oblivious to any criticisms (obviously just eedjits  :D )

And returning to the topic, what is it with you and Yes? Apart from Mr Downes, who else have you tangled with? Mr Howe lives just up the road from me; maybe I should drop in a copy of EIMA for him to listen too ...  ;)

You know that's enough these days to be considered a member of Yes?!    ;)

Pedro

Nice work Mouse.
 :D @ Ron
@TA - it did get seriously unpleasant but it's not now.  :)

There's a thought; I even met Jon Anderson once, despite the fact that he lives in a parallel dimension.

Indeed, this reminds me of my favourite Jon & Rick joke, which Wakeman tells about Anderson, namely that "Jon Anderson is the only person I know who's trying to understand this Universe while living in another one." I even used that joke in my oration when my university gave an honorary degree to Lord Rees, president of the Royal Society and Astronomer Royal (I guess you had to be there   )

Anyway, nothing like us down-to-(this)-earth Frosties*, eh?  Let's start a wine club indeed :D

@Pedro: at the risk of flogging a dead horse, did it really get nasty re: EIMA? Where? Not that I want to trawl up old badness, but despite being in and around the forum at the time, I don't recall any ugliness. Ah well, people weren't too sure about Tales from Topographic Oceans at the time either (including Rick Wakeman) ...  ;)

Nellie

It was very ugly before I joined in. I was too scared so I stayed at the old site.
It's in the post!

if I remember correctly, it was not so much about EIMA as the American elections.

Gawd blimey charlie: sounds nasty. I'll take your word for it though, Nellie (welcome back, btw), and steer well away from dumpster diving through the older posts.

But even without knowing how bad it was, I'm certainly happy that things are much better. This is definitely one of the best places on the interweb to take a stroll of an afternoon ...  :D

Yes, probably best if I don't go trawling through the posts I missed whilst on hols. Wouldn't want anyone to have said something they shouldn't have!

I shall stand firm and take my (no doubt deserved) punishment like a man.

After all, there'd be no point trying to run from Nellie: she knows where I live ...
