I think NEW GEAR DAY ought to become a new public Bank Holiday, where we all get to empty our bank accounts, descend on our local music shops and blow the lot on shiny new gadgets!

If I hadn't just got that n.o.s. Baretta re-issue, I'd be up for a slime green for sure: I looked at a few at the Dallas Show. I still prefer the Custom Shop guitars, but for value the new babies are fabulous at c.$995.

And I don't like Ibanez as much as I did- necks notwithstanding, I guess the honky pickups have finally put me off. I'll be selling off my Jems (!) over the next couple of months probably.
