....that's still a 1/4th to be reckoned with....

I plead the fifth!

or I'll drink one...

Mouse

We could all play one really long keyboard that stretches right across the stage. How Prog is that?  8-)

Nellie

It's in the post!

Philadelphia

Whoa. I'm no guitarist. A bit of acoustic guitar-playing does not a guitarist make!

I can probably do a bit of backing vocals, if forced to!

Yeah.... because I could really play Milliontown on Bass... come on, get into the ridiculous spirit of this!  ;)

If you do do it, I'll be right at the front in the audience with all the biscuits you need.  :D

Re - a warm up show, I'm certainly not ruling it out, but I'm away on part 1 of my much much much needed holiday prior to the first DT gig so it's debatable how "warm" we'd be with over a week's gap before the first gig. Indeed I'm driving from my holiday (a day before the end of our holiday much to the intense unhappiness of Mrs G - yet again she takes a hit in the name of Prog  ) straight to Leeds for the first show.

I know Jowit's keen to do an extra gig, but that's like asking me if I'd care for a brandy...

Especially if we get you a keyboard that stretches right across the stage like Mouse promised, eh?

Another gig would be very cool, though. Not least of all because it might mean those of us who don't like DT enough to spend £30-odd on a ticket would get to see you!

If we could swing some Frost*y blues versions I'll do some guitar.  :D  Otherwise I'm well up for all the technical assistance and sound engineering.

Well, okay, as the warm up argument doesn't look particularly water-tight let's try the logic another way around - having done 2 support slots to warm up the band, wouldn't it then make sense to play a headline gig afterwards? I mean, it would be such a shame to waste all that rehearsing (??) and get 2 live shows under your belt and then not deliver a full set to your truest most adoring fans? Dare I say, almost rude not to...

And Mrs G surely can't object?

I'm up for a slot on keys - just as long as we play the songs at half speed. All those hemi-demi-semiquavers would do my nut in! And I may miss my cues due to biscuit scoffing.

I do like the idea of a 12ft long keyboard 0' prog though :D And Fraudst* is inspired Pedders!

By the way, does anyone know a good BASSOOON! player? ;)

JamesA

Great idea to play at half speed - that should help me with writing my notes for my review.  Usually I find the music is going too fast for me to keep up and I probably miss all the good bits.

I have grade 1 bassoon! :D

Shaping up nicely...

If Beano turns up to stage-parp that'll be a brass and woodwind section sorted then. ;)

Half-speed sounds like a good idea. Also, I believe JiB plays bass, so perhaps we could take alternate notes? Might help in getting some of JJ's fast bits nailed!
