Anyone still got the multitracks of The Other Me or know where i can download a couple to mess/mix. My mates just bought mixer and hard disk recorder and we could do with something to "play" with the desk before we embark on the recording side. It will give us a chance to understand the desk more and the routing etc.
Cheers :D

I never knew that.
Im really after a multitrack recording. Could be anything, as long as its not rap or r&b, just for us to get to grips with the new kit rather than trying to sit down and record 16 tracks or so and not having a clue how to mix it at the end.
Cheers for the offer though! :D

Nine Inch Nails used to have quite a few available.  Pineapple Thief have "My Debt To You" on their site.  Real World Remixed has some, but more snippets I think.  There's also a site called ccMixter that has some, but mainly vocal tracks I think.  Sorry, I'm being lazy so you'll have to Google the links!

Cheers for that. I had already had a look at the Peter Gabriel site and will give the others a look. We tried our first dabble into multitrack the other day with a bit bit of a keyboard, guitar ebow jam which turned out rather well.

Steve Wilson also had a remix competition going on a few days ago and the stems are still up: //http://www.kscopemusic.com/stevenwilson/insurgentes/remix-competition.html  Everything but the drums are in there.

No need to apologise for changing the subject, that's what we do around here!  :D
Enjoy your time here.

Diffidentia et al ...those SW stems are really cool ....and had a go....which was fun...

'Competition' is extended until end of March.... and you can send as many as you want...so be creative out there..... :D

Pedro

The lovely Imogen Heap made some bits and pieces available here - not had any time to play with the files but it's another option.  :)

I dropped these into Reaper at the weekend.  Fantastic insight into how all her vocals are built up.  Only thing is that they sound so good on their own that anything I added ruined them!

Now on my hit list....as downloaded ....and yes they do sound lovely ...her video blogs are great fun too ....love how creative she is in 'finding' sounds ....and the Hang Drum was excellent...not seen that until her blog.

But I think all these media messaging toys, like Twitter and 12 Seconds are causing some major distractions out there.....

Enjoy your remixing  8-)
