I can very much relate to large portions of today's blog post.  I know not to walk my daughter into preschool as the water works will keep me there indefinitely.  Fortunately, they have a drive up/drop off lane and staff fetches her from the car for me to prevent the meltdown.  That said, I do occasionally take her in with the foreknowledge that it may take a while to get back out.  I'll not partake in the hokey cokey (or hokey pokey, as it is here in the States), though, I'm not averse to the chicken dance provided I've had my dark chocolate frappuccino in advance.

I, too, have been rather poorly this week, unable to breathe 3 nights in a row until last night.  It's made for an extra grumpy gonzo, even less productive than is the norm.  However, I have managed to maintain my lovely wife's website, updated the business Facebook and Twitter accounts and engaged in some Facebook ad campaignery.

My mother-in-law collected the children today and took them to a local restaurant complete0 with play area and twisty slides, so that's eased my sinus pressure a bit.

Finding the BARSE studio upended is a nightmarish thing that would most certainly have warranted at least a lock and key, but an out-of-home workspace will likely prove a most wise decision.  My children have never seen my multi-tracker, despite being out in the open, as I have cleverly disguised it as a sweater.  I only hope they don't suddenly take an interest in oversize winterwear.

On the plus side, speaking of oversize, I'm making quick work of one of my New Year's Resolutions, having lost 20 pounds in one month through diet and exercise and a considerable amount of will power.  I can once again see my feet while standing, which is nice.  30 more to go.

"Hokey-Pokey" is a different game altogether over here...not at all appropriate for pre-school!
(There's inning and outing and optionally shaking all abouting but the tune is quite different)

There'd be no pre-school if not for the hokey pokey!

What a read that blog is ... sorry Jem, I laughed my arse off, not at your misfortune, but at the recognition of large chunks of my own life ...  Though I did smirk at the thought that you might have taught the kids a new version of the hokey cokey in 5/4.

Somebody, somewhere owns the rights to The Hokey-Cokey(/Pokey), and they're going to be listening VERY HARD to the chorus of The Dividing Line for even the slightest similarity...

You put your Hobit in, your Hobit out, in, out, in, out, you shake him all about..  :D
