I was just wondering if anyone could shed light on this mystery gig that jem mentioned a while back?
It's probably already been discussed in another thread but could you help a fresh frostie* on his way?

Can't be Summer's End. It would be cool if it was the CRS awards again but that would be January.
Another Xmas bash at The Peel would be to die for but even that might be too much to hope for.
I guess we'll find out when the time is right!

thanks for replying Pedro, i wasn't sure if i'd missed anything to do with that. i saw frost* once at southampton when they were supporting dream theater but i hadn't heard of them before and didn't know any of the songs!
still, sounds like something's in the pipeline though.

There is an all day bash at the peel on 10/7/10 line up to be announced, could that be too much to hope for ?

The major challenge, I guess, would be in the drumming department.
Andy could obviously walk straight back in but I would consider that unlikely myself. He had to step away because of his academic obligations and I don't see how that might have changed....it would be cool though!

Totally agree that the drummer could be problematic but hey I'm sure its not the biggest hurdle jem has ever had to get over.

There's a CRS stage at the Cambridge Rock Festival on 6th August, lineup TBA - now that would be a fab birthday treat!

drummer wise, jem mentioned Alex Thomas from Badly Drawn Boy would be joining the band (see archives for details //http://thenewcube.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html

Also, on the subject of drummers and all, keyboard and guitar players love and cherish their instruments...

I think that the gigs that got cancelled were largely due to not having time to train-up another drummer, having done it once with NDV. Plus NDV comes with a higher price tag than the other guys because he'd have to be flown-in and I suspect flying him over for a Peel gig would prolly not make financial sense(?).
You never know, TBE might be really missing it by now. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
