Monty Montgomery. Nuff said.
It's not the winning or even taking part. It's the arsing about that counts.

Aah... the Paula Cole version... this is indeed a killer version. But, although Paula Cole is definetely the better vocalist, I really like the Up tour version with his daughter Melanie on vocals. Especially when you consider the fact that the song was about the lack of communication between PG and her.

For which, many thanks.

And after watching that, I spent the next half hour watching this and other stuff from Daryl Hall's "LiveFromDarylsHouse" channel:

The main site is, logically enough:

A Philly Soul answer to the music marketing question ? Anyway, a really interesting idea for musicians who can pull it off unplugged. The KT Tunstall one is great, and the (Oates-free) version he does of "Sara Smile" is as good as the original, IMHO. He's done a load more (I'm looking forward to the one with Nick Lowe, coming soonish), and I hope it'll be a big success.

It helps that the room they use for this sounds as good as it does, and I also really like that it's not set in a studio.

Incidentally, Monty does a version of Sara Smile HERE

Yes, when you posted the link, I saw it, had a listen and liked it a lot. That was what sent me in search of the original :)
