WE'VE BEEN TROLLED! SANTA GAVE ME COAL!

Pedro

Ha ha, yeah, sometimes it's diamonds, sometimes it's coal...just a matter of how much pressure there is!
This time the pressure was elsewhere...but never mind, eh? There's always next year! :)

Fine work all the same, and I'm sure MrG will be round soon enough bearing gifts :)

Quote from: "RacingHippo"I am humbled to say that I have never heard that remix of Pedro's. It's utter genius.
Word, there are other, other mixes available

Quote from: "Trapezium Artist"I can but join the clamour: Pedro, you have done an absolutely brilliant job on the Frost*vent calendar, a jaw-dropping labour of love indeed. Apart from all the Frost*ie wonders, covers, and askjemmeries, there was so much nostalgic content in there that binds together you, me, and (I imagine) quite a number of we Frost*ies of a certain age, it became so, so much more.

Thus, quite apart from what may or may not lie behind the 25th door (and I have my hopes ;-)), your place on the very highest pillar in the very most exalted temple of Frost*iedom, covered in gold leaf and holding a five-pointed snowflake in the air, is assured once again :D

(And finally, on today's BLM solo combo, I too have some hi-def close-up video footage from my DLSR, albeit not of the whole piece and with crumpled sound, because the microphone sensitivity was set too high. But what I liked very much about the video you put together was that brief moment at the end of the solo where JM says "thank you"; I completely missed that very touching acknowledgement of the crowd).
Muchly wordifold

I've not visited the forum for a while so you can imagine my delight when I found the Frost*vent calendar. Bugger me if dear old JG didn't cover the very reason I have logged back in on day 5! In answer to him, yes, a bit odd but at least there is a medical reason for drinking lots of cold beer  :D

Please find attached a picture of me, spreading the word down under on Moolooba beach, Sunshine Coast, Queensland.  Sorry I look a bit of a dick.

All the best from Oz, for a Progtastic New Year. Rock on etc.
That's jazz.  Jazz is weird...

Renters

Sorry, can't get the picture bigger which is a shame because I look great. Actually, no, I look like a dick...

If you have the image online somewhere (e.g. Photobucket) you can put the link to it in img tags.

Ok...which publication did you use to make the magazine tree on the frost*ies dinner table? I have made three now but they all come out too skinny and fall over...
Fantastic advent calender!  Thank you for so much anticipation! Can we keep it there all year now, please?

Thanks lyn. I guess the files will remain on the server for a fairly long time, although the main page hopefully will be changed before Twelfth Night(!).

All of the videos are on YouTube owned by user "FrostForum", I just need to make the last few public (which I will do slowly so as not to spam subscribers too much).

As for the tree, I am no expert - having made precisely one tree this way and I should confess that it only looks really good for 3/4 of its circumference...but it does stand-up really well.
I think a secret might be in forcing the spine of the magazine to be completely relaxed so it doesn't try to close the magazine at all. My cut-down version of the original video may have trivialised the importance of that step.

Which mag did I use? Well there was only one choice....

:D

A Massive Thank You to Pedro for yet another Frost*tastic Advent Calendar!  It Still boggles my mind at the level of unselfish dedication that fans of a music group have for said band..  But, that being said...  Frost* to Me is Not just a Band, its an experience. The Music they produce aside, I have "Met" the most wonderful, nicest people via the "Frost*" name. Starting at This forum, which quickly went outwards to Face Book, Twitter etc.. The Common bond being Frost*..  The Frost* Forum Collab. Song last year really proved this to me.  The hours Ron put into that collaboration is mind blowing, and for what? Our shared Passion as fellow musicians in a tribute, a Thank You for Frost*.  Shit, For me its renewed inspiration in music.  I was Late to the table only finding Frost* in late 09' via Frost* Reports.. So, Having Blacklight Machine being my introduction....   I have never been the same since..   true story...    Blah Blah... sorry..  bottom line is this...   Jem has made a mark on this world that I dont think he can understand, which is a good thing because if he did, he would probably be a Pompous ass. J/K   In a way, Frost* is sorta like a religion. If you really think about it..  all because the Music is just so Damn Good and its Creator is engaging and just insane..  One Day I will meet this Man, Jeremy of Gedfrey and I shall buy him a Pint and offer him a handshake of thanks....
::I Like Cheese::

E.S.

Forget about the handshake, Jim. He'll give you a hug before you get the chance. :D

Also, what they said. Thanks for doing such a brilliant job, Pedders. I can't imagine how many hours you put into this lovely calendar. Every day there was something there to make me smile. :)

"Jem has made a mark on this world that I dont think he can understand..."

I found Frost* cos I went on a music hunt, out of despair, to find music that meant something.  To me.  No one else, necessarily.

I grew up in radio caroline world.  I was brought up on a continual feed of stuff I had never heard before, which is compulsive and hard to keep alive....  To me Frost* is precious, unique and a stunning reflection of what makes me me, somehow. That it snuggles up in the Frost*ieverse is both the cake and the icing on the cake!

Who else will care about 7/8, teacakes and trees made from prog magazine?  Me, my mates and my kids.  Us, our children and our children's children maybe?  I am the rubbish mummy - my kids know more about rock than the charts (tough), know more prog than xfactor and ask for party rings and jammie dodgers not take outs.  I grew up in big band swing and Frank Sinatra land, cos that was so important to my Dad, so the world goes on, forever...  That's brilliant, huh? No-one else comes close!

All thanks to Jem, Frost* and all the Frost*ies... Happy New Year xxxxx ***** xxxxx
